NIDEK

The wide-pupil measurement mode enables refraction analysis up to 6 mm in diameter, allowing comparison between central and peripheral zones for enhanced diagnostic accuracy. Equipped with a Super-Luminescent Diode (SLD) light source and a high-sensitivity CCD sensor, the device provides stable, precise measurements even in patients with cataracts or other media opacities. The built-in VA test with illumination allows for quick assessment of visual acuity and glare effects, offering valuable information for comprehensive eye evaluation. Accommodation testing is fully automated — patients simply focus on a target while Mire-ring keratometry ensures consistent and reliable curvature readings with minimal eye movement. Combining cutting-edge optics, ergonomic design, and NIDEK’s renowned precision, the ARK-1s/1a/1 is an essential tool for accurate, fast, and patient-friendly refraction and keratometry measurements. Optotech is the official representative of NIDEK in Armenia.

Detailed information

Accurate refraction measurement

Large pupil zone imaging method enables the measurement of wider area refraction up to 6 mm in diameter and indicates the difference between wide-area refraction and central-area refraction of up to 3.5 mm in diameter.

SLD and highly sensitive CCD combine the super luminescent diode (SLD) and highly sensitive CCD, significantly improving measurement capability even in dense cataractous eyes.

Optimal fogging allows the patient to view the target clearly and minimizes accommodation interference, even in cases of high astigmatism.

Easy VA measurement with glare test

The ARK-1s and AR-1s provide accurate visual acuity (VA) measurement. A glare source is illuminated beside the chart, allowing precise evaluation of glare VA.

Simulated patient vision with the VA chart and glare source ensures more realistic testing conditions and reliable results.

Simple opacity assessment with retroillumination image

The retroillumination image enables the observation of opacities in the optical media of the eye, providing clear and accurate evaluation.

Patient-friendly accommodation measurement

Objective measurement of accommodation is performed with the patient focusing on a target that moves from distance to near.

Keratometry measurement with mire ring

The mire ring is used to measure keratometry and reduces eyelid artifacts, ensuring more reliable results.
